How often do you and your spouse fight?

My boyfriend and I fight a lot. I don't know if it is normal. It's always about small dumb things and we get over it pretty fast but I'm still concerned. My sister and her boyfriend have been together for 4 years now and have never fought once.

When we were younger we used to fight bc we thought we could change each other's mind lol! That's a joke! We try really hard to see each other's perspective and when we can't come to consensus, we just let it go.  I think arguing effectively comes with age.  When your young you want to jump into everything with both feet and really have it out, but you get older and you kind adopt the attitude of- that's fine, walk around this earth with your stupid opinion, not my problem lol!

During premarital counseling our priest told us it was important to have occasional arguments.   That if you are not arguing you are not dealing with the problems that come up in every relationship.  Not arguing, and not dealing with your problems allows those problems to build.  They grow until they break your relationship.  Now he also stressed the importance of arguing correctly, we were even couched on how to argue correctly.  So as long as you are telling your SO what is really wrong and not making wild accusations or calling names, you are healthy.

Me and my boyfriend fight a lot. No matter if we have a good day we fight. It's ridiculous. He's dirty and never wants to clean up. I can't stand it. I want to leave him cause he's so dirty and doesn't help out with anything.

Me and my boyfriend fight over me... I'm bipolar and hard to handle but when arguments stop he's all over me kissing me and saying how much he will always love me no matter what. He just has a short fuse so he gets mad easily but he will forever be my teddybear!

We bicker at eachother quite a but but 99% of it is us joking around. We have our fights on occasion but it's only when something big happens. We always work it out pretty quickly. We are pretty open with eachother and when something is bothering us we don't hide it frome eachother.  We sit down and talk about it.
