Dog has fleas?

Question

Today I noticed my dog was scratching a little bit and I went to check his fur and I found two fleas.

He is on frontline already ( has been for a while ) is there any sort of remedy that has helped any of yall in the past... I don't want this to spread.

All I can say fo ar home remedy is to wash your dog with Dawn dish soap. It's always the best thing to use when you bathe your dog, better than any flea and tick shampoo. My dog is protected with trifexis, it kills all fleas within 24 hours and then works for the rest of the month. It's $20 a month but well worth it. I want to say, no matter what anybody tells you, do not feed your dog garlic! It works but it is poisonous to dogs and cats.

Bath with dawn dish soap, then comfortis(chewable flea preventative) We've been battling them for months on my dogs in south Carolina, front line was not helping. Went to the vet for shots, she gave us comfort is samples, fleas were gone the next day!

Frontline stopped working for my dog. I had to switch to comfortis which is the beef chewable. Works wonders and can be given now since it's not a topical it won't hurt. But u have to get it at ur vet.

If ur dog is already on frontline dont give him any other preventative bc it can make ur dog sick as well as giving garlic to ur dog. My dog got really sick from that and my vet said do not give garlic to ur fur babies. The apple vinegar works some but it will make ur dog stiiink. Honestly I would try the dawn first bc no harm no foul and if it doesnt get any better take ur baby to the vet and swap preventatives.

Dawn dish soap. Works wonders and is completely safe on animals as thats what they used to clean the animals in that huge bp oil spill a while back. Just get ur pup wet lather him/her up with dawn and let it sit for 2-3 minutes then wash off. Youll literally see the fleas wash off.

Unfortunately fleas are becoming immune to frontline and advantage and similar products. I've had to switch to comfortis for my dog. I also use a natural anti-flea shampoo when I bathe her, I think I got it at Pet Supermarket.

Are you from Australia? I found that frontline doesn't work anymore either or revolution, my local vet clinic has brought a new Product out called bravecto it's one tablet and it's only $48 literally two hours after giving the tablets to my dogs there was not one flea on them! A week later and still nothing! This lasts  for 3 months including paralysis ticks. 😊

We have all 3 of our fur babies on Trifexis. It's Comfortis, plus heartworm prevention as well as intestinal parasite prevention. I love it!
