I had mine today at 5wks 4 days. Saw the sac and yolk. I'm blown away lol. Because I am high risk, I'll get an ultrasound every week. Kinda cool being able to see the progress though.

Six weeks, then at 8 weeks due to bleeding (everything was fine), 12 weeks, and 20 weeks. How can the dr schedule your 1st at 20 weeks?! That's absurd! Find a new doctor.

I went for the first appt with the OB specialist on Friday. We're going to be able to get our first ultrasound this week after all!! I'm so glad we're not going to have to wait that long after all!

Had our first one at 7w0d, 2nd one at 12w4d, 3rd will be at 17w 4d

I had my first one at 6 weeks. However, keep in mind that some doctors don't like to do unnecessary ultrasounds because most insurance companies cover a set amount of ultrasounds and then the patient is stuck with the hospital bills. Realistically if they can hear a heartbeat before 20 weeks, most likely everything is ok. It's very rare that something's going wrong and the patient has absolutely no symptoms like cramping or bleeding. Sounds to me like your doctor is skipping the initial ultrasound and just doing the gender/anatomy scan at 20 weeks

Whattsss?!? Thats too long.. 6 weeks the earliest.. Please try to look somewhere else and after 1st ultrasound then you can move to dr office that you want

The same day as my appointment at 8 wks then at 16 wks gender reveal then 29 wks and last at 38 wks

I'd go find a different doctor that's a little ridiculous. I had my first one at 4 weeks but that's only because with my last period I should've been 8 but ovulated late. I'd definitely call around to different clinics to see if they could maybe get you in at 8-10 weeks.

I am with a fertility clinic so I go weekly starting at 5 weeks through 12 weeks. --- you can always schedule a sonogram with a specialized clinic to see your baby before 20 weeks (that's crazy btw!) I would suggest around week 11/12. Your baby will have arms and legs, no tail, and you should be able to see the brain forming. It's really a neat scan to see.
