Hubs wants baby but doesn't think preseed will help...

My husband and I have been ttc since December. We already have 2 kiddos who were conceived on a total whim (don't hate me :-( ) but ttc#3 is proving to be difficult. I brought up preseed because we're both struggling with the disappointments of the tww leading to a BFN but he did his research and says preseed won't help us. He said "it was made for women who can't get juicy because other lubes kill sperm and pressed does not" is there truth to his statement? Have you tried preseed, was it successful?
