We didn't really do a "party" but instead had a cookout/bonfire & my friend made a box where we pulled the strings & balloons/streamers fell out to show the sex of our baby! It was really fun. This is our second

We are doing one, just a small one though with really close family. Cake and small appetizers nothing big.

We are doing one. It's going to be a pot luck so we won't be spending much money at all.

We skipped it. It's just as well, they told us the wrong gender the first time.I just, I fee like it's asking people to make a fuss over a 50-50 thing. Neither outcome is really surprising. They're already probably going to sit through a shower. I could maybe see it if you combined it with the baby shower, then you're not asking people to go to two baby events. I'm not trying to knock people who love gender reveal parties, it's just, meh. This is a topic in which someone asked about opinions, so that's mine.

Were having one. We're asking that people don't bring gifts. It's just a BBQ and fun excuse to see friends and eat and play bags and such.

Did a gender reveal party...although my sister ruined it by biting into the cupcake before she was told it was ok I kinda regretted it. I like when we got to tell everyone personally and individually.

I think it depends. My nephew and his wife had one and I know the whole family particularly older generations just didn't get it. Since no one was overly invested into it it was kind of a let down for them. I would kinda feel out your potential guest list to see if anyone would want to go to that or if they would all show up begrudgingly out of a sense of obligation.

My mom and I were going to do a small cookout on Memorial Day and combine that with cupcakes to do a gender reveal. Unfourtnately we got some bad news, but everything is working out now. I think it's cute when kept sweet and simple.
