Has anyone stopped using the pill?

I was wondering if anyone was on a combination pill for over a year and stopped using it. If so, what were your side effects after ditching the birth control?

I stopped taking last month. I feel better as in "healthier". I feel less moody too. My period came 12 days late, but came back to how it was before birth control. The only bad thing is that my face got more oily after, since the BC that i was using was effective against treating acne. But other than that it was better than i expected. So try not to worry 😊 hope this helps !

I was on the pill for 8 years and then my ex husband and I started trying for a baby. My periods didn't get regular until almost 1 1/2 years after I stopped. But I think that had something to do with the abuse he was doing to me.  But I'm back to taking the pill.

I had been on the pill for approx 10 years and when I came off it got acne. The acne was bad enough that I went back on the pill. I've been back on for a year now, skin better but not 100%. I've decided to come back off the pill but am working with a medical herbalist/naturopath who has prescribed zinc and a few other things to help healing and regulate hormones.

I got my periods twice during the first few months after I stopped.  I did, however find I had fewer orthostatic dizzy spells off it.

My first period after stopping the pill was late and that's the only problem I've had. I stopped about 3-4 months ago

I quit taking the pill after being on it about 10 years. It's was instant weight loss-I'm athletic anyways so that was a little problem and it took three months before I even got a period (lasted 2 days) I was irregular and light for about 4 months after that. The worst part was acne and hormone imbalance both lasted almost a year and a half. I switched to paragard about 8 months ago because it was hormone free.

I was on the pill for 2 years. It took me almost a year to get my cycle back on track. Just a little background info: I'm a heavier girl however never had a  a problem with my cycle to begin with, but when I started the pill I was angry all the time and basically didn't have a "period".

I stopped and i feel better. The pills made me nauseous a lot. My period was right on track and normal like before.

I never had a problem after i stopped using it, it just threw my menstral off a bit but other then that just fine
