Induction rant...

Kelly
My doctor has been keeping a close eye on my baby's growth the last 6 weeks. He says the measurements he's been getting aren't consistent so I've gotten a scan every week to be sure she is still growing. Because of her size and the fact she is not a super active baby, he is saying he wants to induce on Saturday if she doesn't come in the meantime. If it weren't for the fact he has been concerned about my daughter's growth, I would object but he delivered me, my bf and our siblings safely and I trust his judgement explicitly. Also, my doctor is going to talk to one of his colleagues and get a second opinion so as much as I'd like to go into labor on my own, if my doctor says no, I'm okay with it.
That being said, I've had to defend that I might need to be induced to multiple family members and it's starting to upset me. I get that it's not the norm to induce right at 40 weeks but it's not like we're doing it "just because." I know going into labor naturally is ideal but people don't need to be so judgemental and look down on me about it.
