Do they always do an ultrasound?

Do they always do an ultrasound at your first appt? I have a four year, as I have went through this before but I forget.  What happens at the first appt? I will be 8 weeks and 2 days next Tuesday, the day of appt.  Thanks guys. 😀

I requested an us at first appt because of history of miscarriage

They didn't with me, but it's different with everyone :) give your doctors office a call and ask them what will happen at your appt so you know for sure.

I scheduled an ultrasound at my first apt and went the very next day for the ultrasound, but it was for dating purposes since i have irregular periods they couldnt tell me a due date until i had a dating ultrasound.
And it was the same for my first child shes 3. Didnt get a positive test for tue longest time i didnt have a period for months so i had to have a dating ultrasound as well, and it was a few days after my first apt. I think usually they wait unless theres reason to do one.
