Any other mothers or expecting mothers take awhile.for a positive test to show?

And before yall say take a test and have stupid comments, I have taken a test and it's came out negative. But with my first pregnancy i didnt get a bfp til day 6 and they were bfp til. And I'm aware I can take a blood test but I don't want to do so til after a week has passed without a period. Just wanna see how many others go through this as well.
