Tmi 34 week pregnant

Can you lose peices of your mucas plug before it actually comes all the way out? I just had to go pee and when i wiped my cm was really snotty looking but clear and usually my cm is white and runny but it was kinda glue like it wasnt very much so I was wondering if it could have been a small peice of my mucas plug and when will the rest come out?
