Anniversary card???

Question

Okay...my friend quite recently came out to me as being trans. It's not a huge surprise, but I have to put much more thought into how to address her.  She's caught in a male body, and has a boyfriend, however she is a woman. Her mentality and everything is woman. She unfortunately is not in the correct body. Her boyfriend is aware of this and isn't gay? He...well you know he loves who she is, and they're both looking forward to when she goes in for surgery in the next year or so. They've been going strong for about three years now. Their only rough spot was at the beginning of their relationship when she tried to move from being the guy friend to partner status(at this point in time I simply assumed she was a gay male). HOWEVER they're quite happy together now☺️ 
Anyways, their anniversary is coming up AND I DONT KNOW WHAT CARD TO GET HER. We've ALWAYS done goofy cards for anniversaries, but I never took into consideration how she felt about me giving her cards with a woman and man partnership.

Will it matter?? Do I get her a comedic malexmale card or do I go with a comedic femalexmale card😥 I don't think she'd be offended since the switch up is quite confusing, but I also don't want to possibly offend her boyfriend by insinuating that he's gay. He very fiercely defends her because he feels she is a woman (she is). 
I don't want to ASK because it'll completely ruin the surprise. I don't know what to do😔. There are a couple cards about trans people, but honestly they're disgusting and show nothing but a bias towards hating on trans. 
No transphobia or homophobia please and thank you, any bigotry will be reported. I simply want to give her and he the best anniversary surprise

I think it is so sweet of you to put so much thought and care into getting your friend a card that will make her smile and not offend her. You are a great friend 😊 I would go with a femalexmale card because she sees herself as female and he sees himself as male. Besides, if she cares as much for you as you care for her, then I don't think getting the "wrong" card would hurt her at all because she knows you are trying.

Can't you just find a card that says "happy anniversary to an amazing couple"? I'm sure they make them without including gender.

I would do male / female bc thats how they view their relationship. Maybe you could make one & it would be more personal.

I would make a card homemade with card stock, ink stamps, or a printer! It will be special and you can write it exactly how you want.
