Ovulation spotting

Hubby and I are ttc #1 and im prediebetic which bc was causing irregular cycles and just recently had a provera induced cycle and was put on metformin afterwards. I had some spotting yesterday and today..i thought it was my period bc of moodiness. My question is i do i know if its due to ovulating and not implstatin bleeding which is another thing it could be according to the article i read on thebabycorner
