Is it true that high hcg levels in early pregnancy can mean the baby has Down syndrome? I go for my first sono next week. The Dr says it may be twins. (They also run in the family as my dad is a twin) but I am just nervous if there is only 1 baby, why my levels are so high. 18,000 at 5 weeks 1 day.

I've personally never heard of high levels means Downs Syndrome. May not mean anything

My sisters levels we 30,000 at 5weeks and 2 days and she had 1 perfectly healthy baby girl 😊
