When should I start taking the pill?

I'm 15. My doctor prescribed the pill for PMDD and regulating my cycles (their 16 days long). The packet says to take the pill on the first day of my next period to prevent pregnancy but can I just start taking them at any time? The for mentioned health conditions make the week of and before my period very difficult and I would prefer to avoid it.

Simply because you are trying to regulate your period I would suggest take it in your first day of your next period it helps the hormone adjust quicker at least that's how my doctor told me to do it

Anytime and you don't really have to worry about taking it on time everyday I used them to not have periods for several years and would be taking them at odd hours every day and it was fine .
