Depo birth control

I have a question. I have been taking to the depo birth control for a couple of months now. I want to stop taking it so I can get pregnant. How long does the depo leaves your system. So you can get pregnant. Me and my husband have been trying to get pregnant for five years now. We want to have a baby. So can anyone give me some good advise please.
