9dpo and metallic taste in mouth

I felt a very strong metallic taste in my mouth earlier this morning. It was really strong (like sucking a penny strong) for about 10 minutes and now it's still there a little bit, but not as bad. Would 9dpo be too early to start getting a symptom like that?? Or to test if I have a syptom like that?? ANY ADVICE AT ALL would be appreciated, as we are TTC for our first and have no idea what I'm doing! Lol. Thank you!!
