Need Advise

First pregnancy .  I'm 38 and overweight .  Shocked I was able to conceive.  By last period im 8 weeks.  I had light spotting Wednesday I had a lot more blood .  Dr sent me to the ER .  They did sonogram No Heartbeat. They said its to early .  Threatened Miscarriage. Today is Friday was sent to my Dr for Blood work .  My hormone levels should be doubled and they only went up a little bit.   They said by the sonogram in the ER I'm only 5 weeks. Little more spotting and cramping today.  I have my 8 week appointment this Tuesday.  I'm just so scared & discouraged .
