Post-maternity pants?

Ok can someone please tell me the difference between maternity and post maternity pants!? They look and feel the same. I got a pair of jeans and the lady at the check out said "you know these are for after you give birth." But they fit good now and look just like my other maternity jeans. So I got them anyway, is it ok to wear them now?

Some post maternity pants have a built in belly bandit type of thing. So it helps keep your belly tight for after baby.

I wore my "maternity" pants post birth until I was annoyed and then I bought bigger pants until I got back into my normal ones
