Going on cruise at 7 weeks prego

So we had our cruise vacation planned before I got pregnant .,, didn't think it would happen so fast. It's my first baby and the doctor will see me at 8 weeks which is right after the cruise . I wish she would see me around 6 weeks just to make sure everything is ok and in the right place . Do you think it's worth calling to ask ? I just don't want to be in the middle of the ocean and something happen like ectopic or what not. I would rather be safe than sorry. Let me know your thoughts ...
