Is this normal?

I had blood tests and stuff yesterday and they called and said "congrats you're Pregnant, but we need you to come back and re run our tests next week" 
Is that something that normally happens? I'm only like 5 weeks along (according to my last menstral cycle)

They probably want to recheck your hcg levels

When did they start all the checking of HCG levels? My daughter is two and they never bothered with her. I had never even heard of it until this pregnancy.

They did that to me. It's just to make sure your hcg levels are rising which indicates healthy pregnancy
