PCOS and Letrozole?

Question

My gyno told me I might have PCOS I have to have a pelvic ultrasound in the mean time he prescribed me Letrozole. Has anyone tried this?

I just finished my second cycle on it. Last cycle my progesterone level showed I ovulated!! And it decreased my cycle length from 35-40 days to only a 26 day cycle!  Currently on day 12 of my new cycle and waiting to ovulate any day now

I got my first positive opk tonight after 7.5mg of letrozole after clomid didn't work at all. :)

We'll be seeing our RE tomorrow to see when we'll be doing our iui. :)

I sure did! My cycle didn't regulate and ovulation did not happen on it, so my OBGYN also added Metformin. Started at 500 for two weeks, 1000 for four weeks and now I chose to increase one more round to 1500mg before supplementing Metformin with Letrozole (if we don't get pregnant this month.)

Ultimately, PCOS is an endocrine disorder that effects insulin in your body. Diet can help those changes tremendously (as someone who has been pregnant before).

Letrozole helps stimulate ovulation, but know if you aren't ovulating on it, you may need the support of Metformin. We have been TTC for over a year now. Baby dust to you my friend! 💕
