Husband goes to lunch with a co worker of the opposite sex. Should I be worried?

He says they are just friends and I never thought anything of it when he would say him and a buddy and a few girls went to lunch, but when it's just him and one woman, it bothers me. I wouldn't go to lunch with a guy by myself out of respect for him.

I wouldn't be ok with that, even though I know my husband would never cheat on me. It's just not appropriate. If you're married, you don't hang out alone with another woman other than your wife, and vice versa.

I feel like there is a difference between trust and respect. Sure I TRUST my husband won't sleep with a woman he goes to lunch with. But I also believe he should respect me enough as his wife to avoid scenarios where he is alone with the opposite sex. He respects me enough to avoid things that might make me feel weird and I respect him and trust him enough to let him use his judgment.

I would be worried about it if he had been telling you it was him, a buddy & a few girls from work, then you found out later he was just saying that to make it sound better. He Felt like he needed to lie about it, so there is likely a reason behind it. I'd be mad about the lying regardless! If it truly was several people, then that's a different story!

Sometimes intentions are so truly innocent that it doesn't occur to the person how it might be perceived in a negative way. Let him know you feel it's inappropriate and I'm sure he will understand.

I just don't get stuff like this. If you don't trust your man why the hell are you even with him? I trust my husband totally. Most of his friends are female, and his "work wife" is a wonderful woman. I have zero problems with him going to lunch or on social visits with other women, and he has no problems with me going out with my male friends/coworkers. This isn't high school, we're adults. Have some faith or you may create a self fulfilling prophecy!

Hmm... I could see myself going to lunch with some of the guys I worked with... Just like I did with the women. But, if someone's going to cheat.. there's no stopping it. Have a calm discussion with him about omitting the details, tell him your thoughts and feeling, then let it go. And just monitor the situation.. Or go to lunch with them one day.

Yes I understand my husband and girl co worker went together to pick up lunch  well that's what he  said I was driving around are in my heart I was hoping he was having a good day and that day I had a great desire in  my hurt to pray for him nexthing  you know his walking with a beautiful girl out of my car to the group are of frinds co workers to never saw the bags with food our anything just them two looking happy it broke my heart I made a 360 and got in the Parking lot and he didn't even see it coming I'm like what are you doing his like nothing getting food that girl didn't even blink well all I can say is I have no clue how I saw this in a fast busy  st but I did I don't know what my husband is doing but my heavenly father those and girls if a man is married and can respect his wife what makes you think he well respect you tell know I well never know how many times this happened our happening but I do know something my health and happiness and respect for my self well not depen on other people God's love is greater and he well bring everything to light I stop talking to my male friend to show him respect and honor it was not easy but with God is possible and it's not his fault there's beautiful girls at work is Just something that takes comment and love to be faithful and not let the enemie ir your marriage love ps , yo•fi
