When I first found out I was pregnant, my cat Bast became very possessive of my.  She would chase my dog off if he tried to join us on the bed, (normally she was ok with it.) after I went to the ER the first time she stopped.  She wouldn't come near me, wouldn't lay with me.  I missed that a lot.  Today we go to find out if I am miscarrying (99% sure I am) and what we will do.  I was feeling bad this morning after my husband left for work.  All of a sudden Bast jumps on my bed and lays down on my chest, purring.  She has not done this in weeks!!  On one hand it is a comfort.  But on the other I think she is showing me it is over.  For now I accept her comfort.
