Soy milk and pregnancy!?

Is it bad to have any products containing soy during pregnancy? I've been told that soy ruins dna! Is this true?

I'm vegan so I eat and drink a lot of soy. There's nothing wrong with it. It produces phytoestrogens not estrogen. As long as it's non GMO you'll be fine.

Ruins DNA? There is no such thing that can ruin DNA. Whether you should consume it or not is another question. I know it can mess with hormones but don't know enough to say one way or the other. If in doubt, ask your doc!

How is soy bad for you? When my son was little he had to drink soy formula and then soy milk when he was old enough. He's prefectly fine now and can drink regular milk.

I've been drinking smoothies with soy milk my whole pregnancy. At 20 week checkup baby looked great. No extra limbs or cyclops eye.

If you are going to drink soy make sure that it's organic, most soy is GMO and contains a ton of chemicals that are very, very bad for you. It also increases estrogen.

Are you milk intolerant?  There are better options like Silk Milk almond milk, oat milk and hemp milk :-)

I've heard good and bad things about soy. I heard soy can cause breast cancer in women and that Americans suffer from certain health issues that other countries don't suffer from as much because we have a higher intake of Soy in our diets. If you can stomach it I would strongly suggest coconut milk instead (or even vanilla almond milk is one of my favorites) just make sure non of the milks have carrageenan but coconut milk has a lot of great benefits and great healing power. In the carribbean and other islands they called coconut the tree of life. It helps with toothaches, earaches, burns bellyfat, it whitens your teeth and so much more!

My doctor said to drink it in moderation...most interest sites say to drink 8 oz a day...so I just stay away from it because I am unsure...
