Is it fair?

My partner works rotating shifts every two weeks, (two weeks on day shifts and two weeks on night shifts) he works 10 hours per day, he spent about 4 hours with me this weekend as he did overtime during daytime (to save up for a holiday) and went to see his friends after work on the same weekend, and says that it was all he could spare for me cause he had to sleep to get back into night shift for the following day, Is it fair for both side?

Sometimes a guy needs time with his friends. A healthy relationship is one that allows for that. It does sometimes mean that you'll feel left out, but he NEEDS that time. If all he ever does is work and see you, eventually he's going to go crazy from not socializing with others. Let him have that time every now and then. He'll appreciate you even more because of it.

My SO works shift work just like your partner does but 12 hrs. Both of you need time alone doing whatever you like to do. Him, it sounds like he enjoys hanging with his friends. I have no problem with him doing what he enjoys as long as it's not everytime he has off. As a couple you need your time together and apart. But that's just my thoughts. Me and my SO have been together going on 3 years. Shift work is not for every couple.

My boyfriend works 16 hours mon-fri. He spends times with me on the weekends that's all that matters to me. I occasionally get a little jealous when he wants to hang out with his friends because he's mine (lol) 😁 but I understand a guys need for time to himself, which sometimes includes just him and his friends :)
