Husband drinking... Too much? How often does your husband/so drink?

I don't think i know what "normal" is, growing up i never saw my father drink, never a beer, nothing! My husband is a beer drinker six days a week. Gets to work everyday, pays bill, can be romantic, etc..
I find it gross the smell of beer on his breath, empty beer cans in the living room.
Bty, its usually at least 3, 25oz cans a night.

I'm sorry to have to be the first to say this, but that is not normal and if it continues over time he will probably (if he isn't already) become an alcoholic. If I were you I would definitely address that problem as soon as possible... You do not want that to get worse.

I say if he's going to work and paying bills then it would be fine. Then again I'm not you and I don't know how you feel. The way I see it is if he's got his priorities straight and it's not all about beer beer beer then there isn't a problem. But like I said I'm not you and only you know how you feel about it. If you don't like it or find it to be problematic then I would talk to him about it.

Hubby has maybe 2 drinks a year. Neither of us have alcohol but a couple times a year for special occasions.

How about the option for rarely. Hell drink when he goes out which is maybe 4times a year.

Hubby rarely drinks, he has chronic kidney disease... I also don't drink often since I'm bipolar and on psychotropic medications.

My husband might have 1 or 2 drinks twice a year. He grew up with his Dad as an alcoholic and he doesn't want to end up like him..

It's not just about how much he is drinking but more if he needs to drink. Can he go days without? Or does he get mad without it?

I know here having a beer or wine with dinner a few times a week is pretty common but it's when you become dependant on those drinks that you have to worry.

I based this on the fact you said 3 drinks a night, which I assume means he isn't actually getting drunk.
