Glucose tolerance test aka gestational diabetes test

Ella
Hey ladies... I had my glucose tolerance test yesterday (aka gestational diabetes test) and I was told it would take 2-3 days for results. My midwife called me 3 hours later to ask if I was ok and if I was feeling alright. I was. My test results came back marked CRITICAL. She literally said "I called you right away to make sure you answered your phone and that you're alive"! So long story short... When the do the test they test for a bunch of different markers and then combine the results to give you an overall score out of 10. Normal/healthy range is 4-6. A 7 or higher is a possible indicator of gestational diabetes and will require further testing and possibly insulin. The higher the number the more severe. I got a 2. Apparently this is impossible and anyone with an actual blood glucose level of 2 would be going into hypoglycemic shock. Symptoms would be impaired vision, extreme dizziness, difficulty sitting up and forming words, shaking and sweating etc. I have none of these symptoms but my blood was tested twice showing a 2 and a 2.1. I'm at the hospital right now to be retested but I'm wondering what you guys all scores and particularly what your experiences were with a low result (below 4)?? Please share!
