California passes vaccination bill.

Vaccinations have been a hot topic here in the U.S. for quite some time but earlier this week our governor here in California passed a bill stating that all children must be caught up on their vaccines before enrolling in public school, no more personal exemptions are allowed except in extreme medical cases. This isn't saying you aren't allowed to adjust the schedule for your child as you see fit, they just need to be 100% caught up before starting school. As an educator in Special Education who also lives with an auto immune disorder (Multiple Sclerosis) I appreciate this! I've had all my vaccines but because of MS am still vulnerable and need to rely on herd immunity...which only works if the majority of the herd is indeed "immune"! I'll also have a baby next year who's too little to receive some vaccines and don't want to put him at risk simply because I was unnecessarily exposed. Being in Special Education I also have a vast understanding of the Autism Spectrum and can say it's pure coincidence that this disorder happens to begin displaying at the same time the MMR vaccine is given and children can absolutely display normal development up until then and regress at the onset. Even if there was a real connection, Autism is not the end of a child's life, just the start of life in a different way, these diseases however could be the end. Actor Jim Carrey has called our governor a "fascist" for imposing this bill...how do you feel and why? Please no stupid internet memes here...I'm looking for some REAL knowledge and research to back up your opinions!
