Honest question
No rude comments please, I am genuinely curious and would just like to be as informed as possible.
First some background on me:
I'm 22 and on my parents' health insurance. I have an autoimmune disease that the medication I'm on would either kill or severely damage a fetus if I got pregnant while I'm taking it. My doctors warned me that if I did get pregnant, I would have to abort it. No choice. I am in a committed relationship and I am on birth control but nothing is 100% safe and life happens.
My question is, God forbid that I get pregnant and have to get an abortion, would my parents be able to see it on the insurance? I've seen bills that tell everything that has been done even if there is no charge. I know it's a silly question since they pay the bill so they'd see it but my parents are so conservative that they would shame me into the ground if I ever end up in this situation and disown me. Is there any means of confidentiality or would I be screwed when the bill comes? Any insight is appreciated.
