Nursing Home Insurance, did you know?

Did you know there is nursing home insurance, I learned this when I was getting my CNA. It should be brought up to parents either when you turn 40 or they turn 60 whichever comes first.
Nursing home insurance is an insurance policy that you pay monthly/yearly in the event that you need a nursing home so that you nor your family has to pay the high rent fee's on rooms.
So my question is did you know about nursing home insurance, and have you brought it up to your loved ones?

I also learned about it when I got my cna. Immediately told my mother. It is not only just for nursing home. It can also be used for home health care :)

It's called long term care insurance. It's very expensive.  Unfortunately the ones who can afford it are the ones that could afford to be hospitalized.

I'm living with my dad so he doesn't need to go to one of those hell holes. He's in good health now, but I'll be cleaning his house and making sure he eats something else other than chips and sardines when/if he's not too. My sisters certainly don't give a rats ass about it.
