What Would Cause my Posts to be Deleted?

I recently posted 2 different posts asking for help on what to do with a tough situation my SO and I are going through. Particularly, how can I support him through this hard time he's in. But my questions were deleted, and i dont understand why. I didn't think they were inappropriate? There was nothing racist or offensive in the posts...

Is there a place I can review what's considered appropriate to post? So I know next time? And why aren't we notified our posts is deleted? I'm just assuming this is what happened because it no longer appears in my "created tab."

I'm not trying to offend folks or promote anything illegal. I've just found myself in a situation I'm entirely unfamiliar with and I want to know how to support my SO. I was only seeking advice. Thanks to whomever can advise.
