How many ounces does/did your 1 month old eat?

How many ounces does/did your 1 month old eat and how often did they eat?
My daughter goes from eating 2 ounces every 3 hours to eating 3 ounces every 2 hours. Is there a such thing as over feeding a newborn? Or is it okay to feed her what she wants, when she wants it? How did/does your baby eat?

Answer

My one month old eats roughly 3 to 4 ounces every 2-3 hours. If I feed him any less, he cries and cries. I mentioned it to the doctor but she didn't seem concerned since he was at the lower end of his growth chart in weight and dropped instead of remaining consistent at his 1 month checkup. I told her sometimes he spits up a little bit so she said I probably overfeed him just a bit.

My son went up ounces with each week until 7 weeks, so 3 weeks 3oz 4 weeks 4oz etc, he's now 14 weeks and on 9oz, (every 3 hours) you can't over feed really so don't worry :)
