Ear infection? 😔

Hey! I'm 18 weeks pregnant. My ear started hurting about 5 days ago and has just gotten worse since. I went to the doctor 2 days ago & he told me that I do in fact have a ear infection. The only medicine they can give you for a ear infection are all Class C. He told me he can't guarantee me it won't hurt my baby.. & that just freaks me out. I asked him if it would go away on its own and he told me it should eventually but don't try to be a hero. My question is will the infection hurt my baby if I don't take the medicine? I just want to take the safest route. This ear infection is just getting worse and the pain is starting to get unbearable. 😁😁
