What was your pregnancy like around the time AF was due?

I'm 8 weeks and 5 days and I keep getting scared and running to the bathroom because I feel like Ive started bleeding, but it's just clear discharge. And I'm cramping lightly like I normally would when on my period. So I just wanted to know what was it like for you? Is this something I should go to the doctor for? Sorry this is my first time and I'm worried about every little thing. Thanks in advance
