Did you get a lot of information...

Question

Did you get any information from your doc when you first found out you were pregnant? What to eat? What not to eat? Etc.

I just feel like I have no information. Just curious if others have experienced the same.

I got a few informative pamphlets from the doctor and he briefly went over the 'don't eats'. When I called my insurance to ask questions about coverage I was surprised they had a healthy pregnancy program and sent me much more helpful resources and supplies including a journal.

My doc is very laid back and relaxed. I think he could tell I was a typical "advanced Maternal Age" FTM who had already read every book. He made a few comments about not over exerting myself in the first trimester. That's been it, unless I have a specific question

I got a bunch of info but if you haven't really gotten anything I suggest doing your own research online. Most online info I've found has been pretty accurate.

I got a folder full of info! I still look it over from time to time.

At my first visit they gave me a folder that weighed about 5lbs full of eating info, genetic screening info, and a bunch more. If you haven't been to the doctor yet then just be patient. If you have I would ask for some info.

I got a binder full of info including nutrition and a week by week of what to expect in pregnancy and my appointments. Maybe find another doctor??
