What do Braxton Hicks feel like?

That probably sounds like a stupid question but I've heard about them and my friends that have had baby's have even tried explaining but I just don't understand. Do they feel like baby hiccups? Like can you feel your uterus contracting? Please help.

I think it feels like the baby is pushing up against my belly side ways so it goes all the way across.

When you're having a braxton hicks, your belly gets super tight. They don't hurt, but they are uncomfortable and can take your breath away and can last 15 seconds, or as long as a minute or a little longer. Matter of fact, I'm having one right now. :P

My stomach goes from being somewhat pliable to hard as a rock and very tight. I don't feel any cramping or other sensations. It happens mostly after I walk, run, or work out.

For me it's definitely a tightening of my muscles all the way across the lower half of my belly for a few seconds, then it goes away. Doesn't hurt, just uncomfortable. Feels very different from baby pushing outward or even cramping to me. I usually have it at least once a day.

Good question.  I had the same question... I don't know if it's a Braxton hick or if baby is
Pushing on me.  My stomach gets hard, specially when I stand up from sitting or
Laying down.... I'm confused

I've heard that they can feel like bad period cramps also.

It's not a stupid question at all! I find myself asking this all the time. We've most likely had them and didn't even pay attention.

I only had them earlier in my pregnancy. they have stopped a while back. Im almost 32 weeks.

Some people describe it as a tightening, for me it feels more like pressure across the bottom of my belly. It doesn't last toooo long, no more than a minute I would say, but it's uncomfortable - not a fan!
