At my first appointment my midwife told me that they would be checking my blood sugar levels at my first blood draw. She said I didn't have to worry about fasting or anything. She totally gave me the impression that they were just going to check what my levels are normally....I was not expecting to drink the nasty drink or wait an hour or anything. When I got to my appointment the lady there told me that I was prescribed a one hour glucose test with the drink. I'm only 8 weeks and the reason my midwife even said that was because my sister had GD. 

Has anyone else had to take a glucose test this early on??

Ps. I refused it. I'm not doing that twice to my baby.
