Men have a pill to help them have sex and it's advertised like crazy but birth control is not.

It's kind of an equal rights thought.

I currently work in a Pharmacy, and from what I've seen, birth control, including morning after pills, are far more accessible than medication such as viagra and cialis and so forth. In fact those pills for guys are always so expensive, they can barely afford to pick up a few pills at a time even through insurance. Birth control is almost always fully covered by insurance. I'm not saying that gender inequality does not exist, but there is a misconception when it comes to how easily viagra is accessible when compared to birth control. Also, I'm only speaking for Texas, so I don't know how it is in other states.

It may be more difficult to get Viagra, BC is more accessible now, but it is true that BC is not nearly as advertised as Viagra or other male enhancers. 
I've never seen an ad or sign, ANYTHING, that advertises birth control, but I couldn't count on both hands how many times I've seen ads for some form of male dingaling boost.

I'm not make any connections to equal rights though. I do feel that the reason birth control isn't so advertised is because it's "taboo" in a way. It's associated with sex, and yes so is Viagra, but Viagra is also associated with men, and it's not uncommon for people to think it's fine for a man to be sexually active but not a woman.

I know that my doctor had a long talk with my mother when I got started on BC. He went on and on about how bad it is to let her daughter be sexually active, but I was only getting the BC to regulate my periods. People just so happen to think that BC=promiscuous activities for women, therefore it's 'bad' to advertise.
