Sex after baby

I'm two weeks postpartum & finding it very hard to control myself when it comes to sex. My SO and I have done some foreplay but we both are dying to have sex again.. I'm wondering if it's safe to go ahead and have it? I've read on other posts where moms were having sex like days after they had their babies. I had a very easy delivery and had no tears or anything. I know my doctor said six weeks until I get my check up but I'm about to explode and I'm completely fine and not bleeding! What should I do?
