Advice

So I've been with this boy for 2 months but we've sort of been talking for 6 months before that, I'm moving soon, I'm terrified that even though I'm not moving far away he won't want to be with me just because we won't be going to the same school, we've talked about staying together but I'm not sure what to do. Whether to let him go so I don't keep him from new experiences or to just wait it out, advice greatly appreciated
