Can someone please help ?

Question

I had posted about this topic a while back and didn't seem to get any help, it's about formula and I wish people would be as supportive as they are with breastfeeding. Not all of us are fortunate to breast feed for a long time or are lucky enough to be a stay at home mom. ( with all due respect) anyways, i'm going to start supplementing soon and would like to know which formula you moms reccomend ? And would also like to know if all formula gives your baby colic ? Any comments will be appreciated.

Sometimes the baby does get colic with formulas. You just got to test them out for like a week to see if your baby doesn't get fussy and start crying then he/she is ok with drinking the formula.

I haven't had kids yet but from what I've read: if I have to supplement, I am going to try my best to avoid formulas made with corn syrup!!! Almost all the ones on the shelf are so you'd probably have to order online. Maybe read about it and see if it's something that you would want to avoid, too.

It really depends on your baby, some babies do better on certain brands than others. I would recommend Similac - but only because it seems to do well for a lot of babies with sensitive tummies. Some babies don't do well on regular formula so they are switched to Soy formula. There is a huge range of formulas, just try one & stick to it to see if your baby likes or dislikes it. If they don't then try another :) they also have "on the go" little packs that are super helpful by the way!

Depends on your baby I formula feed my first and we used Gerber good start and had no problems with it. Some babies don't like certain brands which can cause them to be fussy and spit up which can be solved by switch to a different one like Gerber sooth or soy etc and some babies need to switch formula brands altogether.

I got the supplement formula. It's for breast feeding babies.

I used Similac for a month but it made my baby really gassy. I then switched to Similac Sensitive and he's been on that for four months. I also will on occasion use store brand (Target/Walmart) Sensitive formula.

Can someone please help ?
