Cerclage string?

Anyone have thin black piece of string come out? My doctor never warned me about it could be possible so I called on call Ob and she said sometimes they stitch a bleeding site and that the actual cerclage is like 1/4 inch thick. Anyone have this happen?

No. Pieces of it doesn't come out. I'm almost certain what you see is the whole thing. You need to call the doc asap! 😳😳

Ask about abdominal cerclage... I had one at 10w and have been on progesterone suppositories since the day we found out but it's better to have one pro actively then an emergency

Turns out that was my WHOLE cerclage. I am in complete shock

Sometimes that's what they do?  I would want confirmation that is what it was!  I hope they check your chart or get you in for ultrasound to check the stitch!  I had pieces after Delivery but noting until then.
