Take Home Outfit

Ok, I know this is a little frivolous of a question, but I need to unbiased opinions. I was thinking of using this as a take-home outfit for my baby girl that will be born in early December. Is this too summery – springy? I'm internally conflicted because pale pink is springy to me, but it's a newborn girl=pink. I live in the Deep South and will have other layers for warmth of course, so that isn't as much an issue.
