Laparoscopy, blocked tubes?

I have had this appointment with my OBGYN set up for about a month now to talk about getting a laparoscopy to check and see if I have scar tissue built up in my tubes.
I have been TTC actively for around 4 years, but not used protection in almost 6 years.
I have several things that contribute to me being infertile, but I had SEVERE pelvic inflammatory disease two or so years ago.Has anyone else had a laparoscopy? Have you had scar tissue or another kind of blockage in your tubes?Did you get it taken care of? Were you able to conceive after?
