Infection and hospitalized at 5 weeks

I am 5 weeks along with #1 and am in the hospital with an infection. I'm allergic to penicillin and amoxicillin, so that mixed with the type of infection and the pregnancy means only 1 type of antibiotic they can give me! It's only in iv form and not a pull, so I naturally can't leave until I'm all clear. Been here since Saturday night and they think I can leave Thursday if everything improves as it's supposed to.
