I will be 18 weeks Wednesday and for 8 weeks now I have been bleeding on and off and cramping daily and my doctor has no idea why. I was told at one ultrasound that I had placenta previa, then at a repeat ultrasound a week later was told that was wrong and I didn't. My cervix is still long and closed, but something looks off about it on the ultrasounds from what I've been told. One tech described it as "fluffy looking." My doctor finally told me that if I am going to miscarry then there's nothing she can do to stop it and so I should just mentally prepare for it because it is a 50/50 chance at this point. I hope with everything in me that doesn't happen...but just sitting everyday waiting and wondering if today is going to be the day that it does is so overwhelming. Sorry, just needed to vent.
