What does this mean?

Okay so I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was a negative. I was happy because I really don't need a baby just yet but I was kind of sad. I don't know why but I was. I asked my boyfriend was he happy and he told me sure. But I asked him why did he say sure (he never really says that unless it's really something else). So he said he doesn't know how to feel about this situation. What could this mean?
