Too late to learn hypnobirthing?

I'll be 34 weeks on Friday and I have planned to have a water birth. It was only yesterday when I decided to research hypnobirthing and I think it sounds perfect. I've purchased the book and it comes with MP3 tracks to listen to. Is it too late for me to benefit?

Definitely not too late just means you need to be extra committed to practice... So 10 mins a day of breathing practice, plus at least one relaxation script- would be a great start!

Nope. It's a 5w course so you are right on time as long as you do it as specified. It's a very relaxing, empowering program. Do it!

Not too late. If you don't mind the cost, I really like the hypnobabies home study course.

Read the book as much as you can (at least once thru) and start your daily practice. The birthing affirmation everyday, and the rainbow relaxation at least 5x a week. There are affirmation hand outs you'd get with a class, your birth partner should be reading those to you while you practice. And practice breathing everyday. Stay away from all negative birth stories. If you want to watch birth videos, Mongan now has a channel on Youtube. Good luck!!

I don't think it's too late. Even if all you did was listen to the joyful affirmations every day, that will help you to relax a lot.
