Call the doc???

Question

I was seen @ 5wks 2days due to spotting and mild cramping got an ultrasound but was too soon to see heartbeat and determine if my pregnancy is viable or not. I was given a 50/50 chance. I am scheduled for another ultrasound to try and hear heartbeat @6wks 2 days. (This Thursday) I have been spotting red/pink/brown off and on since Saturday and freaking out. Should I call again or just wait until Thursday since they can't do anything anyway.

You should always call to report bleeding, but know they may not see you again and you shouldn't panic. Going to the hospital when it's confirmed not to be ectopic and there  is no emergency is not responsible. You have a dr, use them. Emergency rooms aren't for unnecessary ultrasounds.

I bled my entire first pregnancy, all nine months. It was off and on, sometimes light, sometimes heavy, sometimes gushing. I was convinced he wouldn't make it. He turned four last week. I was often on bed rest or pelvic rest. Sometimes they could see the source of the bleed, but often not. Up to 30% of women bleed during pregnancy and less than half miscarry. Brown blood is generally ok. Pink and red should be reported to your dr. My second pregnancy was blood free. My third was a miscarriage. So far so good this time, but I have my first dr appt on Friday.

Keep in mind that as hard as it is, you can't stop a miscarriage and panic helps nothing. Hope all is well. Good luck

Just got the call about my blood work... Hcg is good. But progesterone is on the low side of normal.

I was freaking out also, I have another ultrasound for this week. If you are soaking a pad an hour or passing clots then maybe don't wait to go.

If you're really freaking out, go to the hospital. They'll do an ultrasound for you.
