Cervix open??

Im 20w & 2d pregnant and was told my cervix was open one finger. I was also told that if i had tightening more than 5xs in a hour to go to er.

But my question is should i be worried that my cervix is open??

Yes a 4 yrs ago. My dr really didnt explain. All she asked was how many times was my stomach tightening. I told her and she said if i had 5 in a hr to go to er.

My cervix opened at 20 weeks with my second son, and my Dr adviced me a cerclage would be the best route, seeing that at 21-22 weeks is the latest you can get it done. I'm so greatly I did cuz it kept my lil guy in till I was 35 weeks. Good luck

If you've had children before then your cervix never fully closes. However, if they are calling it dilation and not just "open" then you need to watch out for preterm labor symptoms.

In my 1st pregnancy, my cervix started opening at 22 weeks & doctor said not to worry so I didn't & next thing u know, I dilated to 5cm by the 27th week & was strict bed rest in hospital, delivered at 30 weeks...if I were u, I would try to take it slow so that you don't go into preterm labor, just in case
